There is a $5 levy per person per event to be paid on arrival.

It's wonderful to have a NAGS pantomime again! This year they are performing Cinderella-ella-ella at the Tranzac Club. Dinner first at Thai Basil, 467 Bloor St West nearby (optional) or join us at 7.15 for 7.30 at the Tranzac Club just south of Bloor at 292 Brunswick (bar drinks & snacks available). Join Marilyn at The Smokeshow BBQ and Brew on the first block south of Eglinton Ave, west side. There is street parking on Mt. Pleasant plus the side streets. The Climax Jazz Band plays traditional New Orleans jazz and has been seen in Toronto for decades. There is a $10 cover charge collected by the bar plus our normal $5 UKC Levy. Come and join Maureen at The Granite Brewery, on Mt. Pleasant Road, for mingling, drinks and dinner. Good selection of craft beers and pub type food in this long-established neighbourhood restaurant, situated in mid-town Toronto. There is free underground parking at The Granite, with a token from the server (see video). From Eglinton subway station take the 56 bus or any bus going east and get off at Rawlinson and walk west one block to Mt. Pleasant, then south on Mt. Pleasant. Alternatively, take the 74 bus from St. Clair subway station and get off at Soudan Avenue and then walk less than a block north. The event is open to 12 members. OPERA DON GIOVANNI/DRINKS AT VICTORY CAFE
Bloor & Spadina
Join Beverly and Marilyn for an afternoon at the opera as Toronto City Opera presents Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's masterpiece, Don Giovanni at the Al Green Theatre, in the Miles Nadal Community Centre, 750 Spadina Ave. at the Spadina subway station. This fully staged production will be sung in the original Italian with English supertitles and presented in a 1940's Hollywood in Film Noir style. Watch for Beverly on stage in the chorus. After the opera we will meet at the Victory Cafe for craft beer and conversation at 440 Bloor St. W. - a short walk west of the theatre on the north side of Bloor. Since Beverly is a performer, her sister Marilyn Gilbert has kindly offered to be UKC host and collect the levy. We meet Marilyn between 1:15 - 1:45 in the Welcome Lounge on the main floor inside the Miles Nadal Community Centre. The event is open to 18 members. Dead Accounts is a comedy featuring a brother, a sister, a nearly ex-wife, a high-price secret and a plethora of pizza, all combining to complicate a family reunion. Meet Vanessa in the lobby at 7:15 to buy your ticket at the box office. Adults $29, Seniors $26, plus UKC levy. Eight seats will be reserved for UKC so please mention you are with our group. Play starts at 8 pm sharp and seats are on a first come, first-served basis. Location 2190 Bloor St. W. (down the stairs on the north side across from No Frills) just east of Runnymede subway. Come and enjoy the York Jazz Ensemble, one of Toronto's top 9- piece bands with a large horn section plus singer Cheryl Lyn Backman who has a beautiful bluesy voice. Please note that this big band IS LOUD. The Band plays rock, ballads and the old big band standards. Smokeshow has a varied menu with interesting new specials. Plus there is lots of room to dance.
