Walk
WALK IN MT. PLEASANT CEMETERY WITH PATIO PINT/ICE CREAM TO FOLLOW
Yonge/Davisville, UPDATED
Join Christine to walk through the cemetery to the Bayview exit and back to Davisville entrance. The walk will be approximately one hour, so please wear comfortable shoes and bring some water. Then we will decide on either a patio visit at one of the pubs at Davisville/Yonge area or an ice-cream visit. Hasty Market (around the corner) which has its own patio. Our meeting place remains the same: the Yonge/Davisville entrance to the cemetery. You can access it a little south of Chaplin/Davisville and then take the steps on the east side by the Kay Gardner Bridge to get on the beltline and then a little east to the cemetery entrance where Christine will be waiting. Or turn left on Merton St. and cut through to the cemetery entrance that way – saves walking up the steps. At the time of writing, the cemetery is open until 8 pm. For those driving, there are a number of side streets off of Yonge/Chaplin to park. The $5 UKC levy will apply. Please have a $5 banknote or a prewritten cheque payable to UK Connexion. Contact Christine at christineukc23@gmail.com or 416-256-5851. She will furnish her cell number when you call to register.

TORONTO ISLAND STROLL AND PICNIC
Toronto Island
Toronto Island is opened up for the general public so let's enjoy a stroll and picnic in the cool and tranquility over there. We'll plan for about 5 hours so that we don't feel rushed. The new system requires us to book the ferry online beforehand and of course we "all want to be in the same boat.” We’ll try for the 10:30 ferry to Ward’s Island returning on the 4 pm return ferry. Please tell Ann if you prefer earlier or later in case some ferry times are fully booked. When we have enough people committed Ann will inform you of the ferry time and we can all book immediately so we get on the same ferry. Ferry rules require a mask and you will be screened before boarding. Bring a picnic and swimsuit is optional. The $5 UKC levy will apply. Please have a $5 banknote or a prewritten cheque payable to UK Connexion. The ferry is likely to book up quickly in August so contact Ann NOW at agarnett@rogers.com if you want to book the group times.
