Jazz
LIVE BAND SWING/JAZZ & DANCING - ALLEYCATZ
Yonge/Eglinton
Join Marilyn at the Alleycatz www.alleycatz.ca 2409 Yonge, two blocks north of Eglinton, and enjoy good music with good company, good food and a good selection of drinks. The music will be played by the York Jazz Ensemble, one of Toronto's top nine-piece Swing and Jazz bands starring singer George Westerholm. It will be mostly big band standards: jazz, blues, rock and ballads. Just listen to the music or ask someone to join you on the fair-sized dance floor. This event is billed by the York Jazz Ensemble as a seasonal show. In addition to the usual $5 levy, there’s a cover charge of $10. Since the Seven44 was forced to close, this band has found this new venue and, with our support, we hope to help it become established there for our own future enjoyment. Due to dates having to be fixed early, this event conflicts slightly with the Christmas Sing- Along, hosted by Roger and beginning at 6 pm. However, the overlap time is small and the two events are only minutes drive apart. Those driving are asked to transport others wanting to attend both, leaving the first a little early and arriving at the other a little late. One $5 levy charge would pay for both. To register and reserve for dinner at the Alleycatz, email or call Marilyn at marilyn.goodman45@yahoo.com or 647-210-5110
by 6 pm on Thu Dec 7 leaving your full name and contact number.
